Hand-Painted Tiles - Salvaged (Cleveland Park)
We are renovating our kitchen and have reluctantly removed the beautiful handmade and hand-painted Mexican Talavera tiles on our backsplashes. In total we removed about 22 square feet of tile in several large-ish chunks, still adhered to their drywall backing. Most should be salvageable by soaking each chunk in water and then separating the tiles along their grout lines with a tile saw. We've been storing it in our laundry room with a mattress bag for a little while, and now we're ready to let it go. This is probably used only a half dozen times. No rips or stains. Smoke free home. This is NOT a Twin and NOT a Queen! It's a DOUBLE! :-)
