Fabric scraps (Vancouver/Portland metro area)
Hello! I'd like to take up quilting, but I feel like buying new fabric for a scrap quilt goes against the spirit of the thing. I'm in Vancouver but I work in Battle Ground, so anyone in that general area got scraps collecting dust? (One day I'll be enough of a sew-er to make my own scraps, but today is not that day 😆)

I volunteer with Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary in Fremont and they’re in need of crates. If you have one just taking up space please consider donating it, particularly if you have a small to medium sized one. Every foster/adopter gets sent out with one so they go through a lot. Crates can be dropped off during open hours W-F 2-6; weekends 12-6. You stay and play with the puppies. Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary 3409 Stone Way N Seattle, WA 98103 If transportation is an issue message and I’ll see if I can find a volunteer who lives close to you to pickup. Bookshelf, rug, hot water kettle… (NE Portland, Irvington area)
[Global post from Portland, OR US] Hello neighbors! Wondering if anyone has a small or medium sized bookshelf to share, pillowcase covers for throw pillows, a rug, coffee table or end table to make a tea station, a hot water kettle, or a blanket basket? I’m new to community mental health therapy, but have no budget for making the space a comfortable, welcoming environment to meet with clients. Thank you for any items you have to share towards this end!💛
