There is something wrong. The computer wouldn't read any hard drives. I got it to boot to safe mode once. The mainboard may be dodgy but the chip should be good. I have just removed it from the case. Specs: IPM17-TP is the model name for the "Thimphu" motherboard used in some HP OMEN and HP Envy gaming desktops, featuring an Intel Z170 chipset, LGA 1151 socket for 6th/7th Gen Intel CPUs, DDR4 RAM support (up to 64GB), M.2 slot, and ports for gaming features, often identified by HP part numbers like 799926-001.
