Old Fastrak Transponder Circuit Bd (Richmond)
These should be recycled. Many of us will be getting the new transponders because the old ones will stop working in about a month. I used a putty knife to split the case open into the two halves. One half can be immediately put into the recycling bin for plastics. The other contains the circuit board. All of the components on the boards still work. They are being replaced because Fastrak is changing the interrogator which reads the Fastrak transponder and the new interrogator will not work with the old transponders. The new one is also about the size of the current circuit board and is much smaller in the car. If someone has a use for the circuit board or the components on it, mine is available, but there are probably thousands more out there. I posted to Fastrak on X suggesting that they recycle the boards, but they never replied.

I bought these years ago for the quilt photographs; they are both a mixture of classic and contemporary designs. If you do want to use them as an engagement calendar, the 1993 one will be good again in 2027. 1997 calendar repeated in 2025 (missed that one!) and will be good again in 2031.

Batteries for hearing aids (HAs) (Webster St and Halcyon)
Size 312 batteries. Expire July 2026. I have several packs with 6 batteries per pack. I think a pair of batteries lasts about 7-10 days. Most of the time I use a newer pair of HAs that are rechargeable and I never change the batteries. I have an older pair of HAs (I seldom use) that I save for travel or if my rechargeable HAs are lost or are in for repair. Location: near Ashby and Telegraph in south Berkeley. Porch pickup can be arranged.
