My daughter Sammy has severe learning disabilities and Epilepsy, caused by a lack of oxygen to her brain when at the age of two and a half she had a stroke. Sam is 33 on the 6th October, she has come on leaps and bounds with her independence and is now at the stage where she is ready to move into her own flat with supported living. Sammy is very excited. House plant: Schlumbergera (Willingdon BN20)
House plant: Schlumbergera This is a succulent that is also called Xmas cactus. It has flowers of white-blush-pink once or twice a year. These can grow very large if looked after well. I also have a few more smaller houseplants: 1 Aloe vera (I think) or similar variety of plant, 2 pelargoniums that have grown rather "leggy" (you can take cuttings from these), and another, smaller, but with glossy green leaves "Xmas cactus" (Schlumbergia) as well. and 1 It urgently needs repotting in suitable soil, preferably light soil mixed with a little sand. /
