Apples (fallers) (Caldecott OX14)
The tree is so laden that apples are being shed before getting fully ripe. This is an eating apple, probably a Laxton Fortune, so fruit is OK for cooking now and for eating if a tarter apple is liked. The wasps and ladybirds love the fruit, so some have minor insect damage. If interested, bring a bag and take what you want from the basket.
