Big telly! It does work, but can be a little temperamental due to its age. It’s probably about 20 years old. Comes with stand, remote, and heavy duty sliding wall bracket with all the fixings. Stanley No 5 Wood Plane (Type 11) (Hassocks BN6)
I imported this from America in 2020 in my lock-down 'wood plane period'. It was cracked, so I had it cast-iron welded and have only recently put it all back together. The repair isn't invisible by any means, but solid. There are still two small cracks around the mouth, but they shouldn't be a problem with light use. I didn't replace or repaired the handle because I wanted to keep it as original as possible, and I doubted my own abilities to make a good enough repair of the original mahogany. It's a very nice example and perfectly useable. However, I have too many planes and am having a clear out. I'd really like it to go to a woodworking enthusiast who would like to make use of a 110 year old plane. Any woodworkers interested? David Edwards (Hassocks BN6 8DF)
