Hello, If anyone has had any trees fall down recently near them i would love the timber! i am working on some small woodworking and joinery projects (boxes etc) and would love to try and build from something local and see the whole process through. Any leads would be much appreciated. Hardwoods preferred and the more exotic the better, i love to learn about strange trees! Obviously nothing too old, bug infested or rotten. I’m happy to come and collect anytime. Thank you very much :) M p.s. does anyone know of any local wood yards?

I have a bag of pieces of Polystyrene strips together with other packing and wrapping material including some bubble wrap and smaller pieces of Polystyrene . A friend used to take the large pieces and cut them down for packing his carvings. He has stopped doing it so does not need any more. Can anyone use them for packaging or even insulation? If you would like to know more about cutting the large pieces my friend could explain what is needed.
