Old water butt - good for an allotment? (Sandridge AL4)

There is a small fissure in the bottom as per photo but whilst it leaks a little it doesn't stop it filling right up. Could be mended with silicone or something? Tap is all good for use. No lid or stand. If no takers by Wednesday it's off to the dump.
