I'm offering a Fujitsu Esprimo E420 PC, Advent 17 inch computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, and all connecting cables for collection.
The PC and monitor have been refurbished. They are in used condition with some cosmetic scratches and marks.
Suitable for light use e.g. web browsing and word processing (note that Microsoft Office is *NOT* included). It would not be suitable for more demanding tasks such as playing games or video editing.
The build features a clean install of Windows 10 Home edition that has been tested and reset to remove user data (this will ask the initial post-installation questions at power on: location, email address, password, PIN etc.).
The PC case has a Windows 8 licence sticker. Windows 8 is no longer supported by Microsoft, so not a recommended option. Note that Fujitsu do not officially support the latest version of Windows 10 on this model of PC, but on testing it seems to work correctly. It will not be possible to upgrade to Windows 11 with this PC.
This system is powered by an Intel i3-4170 processor (2 Cores / 4 Threads, 3.70 GHz), has 8 GB of RAM (2 x 4 GB modules), graphics output is provided by an Intel® HD Graphics 4400 integrated controller, and there is 100 Mbp/s Ethernet connectivity.
It *DOES NOT* include Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, so will need to be situated near a home ADSL router modem and connected via Ethernet (or a Powerline adaptor).
Total weight is approximately 8 kg for the PC and 5 kg for the monitor, so best collected with a car, but the items could be divided between two individuals and e.g. carried on public transport.

Includes a 17 inch computer monitor (Advent branded, product code HD-772i, model # 780). Fully functional. Very good cosmetic condition. The screen is excellent with only very minor imperfections visible in use (a little backlight leakage at the bottom edge).
The built-in stand has fore and aft tilt adjustment but is not height adjustable.
Maximum 1280 x 1024 resolution - note this is an aspect ration of 5:4 (unlike more modern monitors which are typically widescreen 16:9).
Has the following inputs: 1 DVI-I dual link port, plus phono conectors for audio in (tested OK).
This monitor *DOES NOT* have HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA inputs. However, the DVI-I connector will accept VGA input via either a suitable passive adaptor (included) or cable (cheaply available on e.g., eBay).
Includes VGA cable and an external power supply.
Why might I ask people why they want a free PC? Though these items were rescued from the trash, I have spent some time (and a little money) refurbishing them to make them usable. They therefore have some cash value, and I don't want traders to profit from my efforts.
And I do this in my free time, primarily motivated to reduce electronic waste, so I think it's reasonable to ask respondents to indicate up-front when they can collect (which otherwise generates a lot of time consuming correspondence).
