I have managed to break one of the side pieces on my [American army ] camp cot camping bed (what a mouth full!!) and to repair it I need a 3 foot steel bar approx 1/2 inch diameter or a piece of angle iron of similar length. Makes a change from fridges and tele's etc. I live in S36 so anything my side of town I would be glad to collect. [from Thursday, I am currently away camping, my bed is balanced on a box!!!]
