Purchased 2002, last used several years ago but still in working condition.
Power supply included but no CDROM, software or drivers.
At the time, the drivers were compatible for XP but nothing after, unfortunately Visioneer, although still in business, have disconx support for this model, however you might be able to find them elsewhere on line, or, someone has suggested this fix

to get the 7800 driver to work in Windows.
I believe the 7800 driver IS available.

visioneer 4800 usb scanner not working
I managed after some time to get this old scanner working .
first download visoneer 7400 scanner drivers which can be found online unlike the 4800 and install them.
in search look for RUN and then click on it a small box will come up type devmgmt.msc and run
goto the device manager where you can see the usb scanner click with a question mark by it ask to update the drivers manually click browse my computer for drivers then click let me pick scroll down to the scanner 7400 driver and install or update from there let it run and hey presto Scanner comes to life on windows 8.1 or any windows after xp.
I hope this helps save someone a lifetime that it took me to figure out ..
