This is faux leather, though it looks and feels surprisingly real. Both sides recline with no issues. There are however two areas of cosmetic damage shown in the pics. One is on the right rear, as seated on the sofa, the other is on top of one of the back bolsters. Would like this gone ASAP so please state when you can pick up.
