LOG for Mushroom Growing (Rodbourne SN2)

Dear all,
I have been given a mushroom growing kit but cannot find a fresh log anywhere (have been ringing tree surgeons). I am looking for a log that has been cut within the last 8 weeks or so measuring around three foot by one foot or so (will take smaller too as I am desperate). It should be a hardwood and the grower's website states:
Shiitake mushrooms can be grown on most hardwood species.
Shiitake mushrooms are fond of oak, sugar maple, and red maple trees in particular.
Though mushrooms can also be grown on alder, birch, oak, maple, beech, poplar, balsam, aspen, elm, and willow.
