I have three old Windows laptops. They are capable of running Windows 10 or Chrome OS Flex, but I have removed the batteries and hard drives. You can either buy new batteries and hard disk drives and install Windows or Chrome OS Flex, or strip them for parts and spares and recycle them.
All three must go at the same time.
