This dishwasher has been repaired and works perfectly. The only reason I'm giving this away is because I've moved house and no longer have the worktop space for it. I have been using the dishwasher with this repair for nearly 3 years.

I received this from a freegler a few years ago.
It had a rust hole at the back of the unit and used to leak so I cut this out and did a patch repair with 2 layers of aluminium coke can and e-proxy mix.

Currently the proxy is a bit loose on the inner side but the water is not passing through to the outer side as the repair is double layered.

For a permanent repair I would recommend soldering the aluminium patches on if possible or re-applying e-proxy. I think it is too thin to be welded because it is old very thin tin. The dishwasher must have got scratched inside and then with the constant washes it had eventually rusted a hole in the back.
