Double futon base (Stroud GL5)

Can anyone use a double futon base. We have freegled the mattress but they didn't need the base as they had one. It looks like this https://www.sitandsleep.co.uk/classic-futon-frame-from-155-c2x22945411 except that it has an additional prop so that you can raise the head of the futon. It is in good condition except that we had to saw a few centimetres off a couple of slats at the foot end to fit into a room - see photo of part of base - this does not affect how the futon sits on the base
