Missing the water container but a plastic pot does the job! Only drawback is unless your container is tall enough to reach the auto shut off switch you'll have to watch it doesn't overflow. I think a cut down 4 pint milk bottle might work!
It's quite small at 22cm tall so no good for seriously damp situations.
