Dawes Karakum Ladies touring bike (Rusthall TN4)

My old Dawes touring bike that I did trips on in France and Wales many moons ago is just sitting getting rusty in the back yard now. Butterfly bars, two bottle cages, back luggage wrack, mud guards (one needs to be refitted, but comes unattached), 3 x 7 gear set for doing hills when heavily laden (in traffic with no luggage you'll sit in the top 5 gears), Brookes leather saddle. Has hybrid pedals (flat one side, cleats the other) but the cleat clasps are so rusted I don't think they work anymore.

She needs new tyres and for the whole chainset to be dismantled, oiled and put back together (see pics). Brakes are fine, as are gears and derailleur. Comes with a handlebar bag and a Ortlieb pod that fits under the saddle for tyre changing bits. Oh and a cover for the weather.

She's a good old girl (I call her the Valkyrie... you do really feel like you're soldiering forth on a sturdy stead on her!) but she's just not being used and it's a sad waste. If someone can use her, fix her up and give her a loving home, it would be better. One day, when I no longer have dogs, I'll get another bike and go on adventures again.
