Shark upright liftaway vacuum (Chorlton M21)

Shark upright vacuum cleaner (NV601UK_BL). There is a cut in the tube which I have taped up (see photo). It still works fine but it's something that should be fairly straightforward to replace. The wand release button is a bit stuck as well. It might just need a bit of perseverance, but even without the wand release you can still release the top section (at the top of the wand) or lift up the whole canister from the base.
