This one's gonna SERIOUSLY appeal only to the geeks out there.
A while back I got a 3d printer. One of the projects I tried to take on was - yes - printing a new printer. I got as far as the frame joint pieces, and cut some steel cable conduit down to proper lengths to make the frame.
In THEORY all you need is a bunch of self-tapping screws and a lot of patience.
Well, and of course all of the mechanicals and electronics that would make it an actual PRINTER.
PLEASE LET MY BOX OF JUNK BECOME YOUR BOX OF JUNK. Otherwise the plastic is hitting a landfill and the conduit is getting recycled.
The plastic printed parts are made from PETG, not PLA, which means they're gonna be sturdier and less prone to deformation due to the environment.
