Weed suppressing fabric & heavy duty polythene or tarpaulin (Salhouse NR13)

It would be great if anyone locally has got any offcuts of weed suppressing fabric that I can have to use around the garden and top of pots. I am going to participate in the village yard sale and could do with some covers in case in rain. So if you have anything that could fulfil this function (heavier duty polythene or tarpaulin or similar) that would be great. Thanks.
