I believe "perpetual spinach" is really more closely related to leaf beet (relation of beetroot grown for leaves) and chard than to annual spinach. That makes it much easier to grow - perpetual spinach tends not to bolt and crops for much longer - but [I say] is not quite as nice. (Probably because I don't much like beetroot; if you like beetroot you might think it's nicer.)
The opened packet also sow-by 2023. If I remember rightly, it germinated well last year so I expect it will this year, but you have been warned. I think it has way more seeds.
