4 Vibro-acoustic speakers plus amp that connects to them. The speakers are about 3" across, the amp is a similar size. The originally were inserted into a foam wedge pillow to be used therapeutically.
I am not an expert, but my understanding is that the purpose is to convert sound (music or tones) into vibration that can be felt. The are used therapeutically in a variety of ways.
