Ski boots never worn (Stoke Poges SL2)

I bought these on eBay and they are identified website 27.5 a UK 9, but for some reason the left boot is not an easy fit and neither I nor my son (a narrower 9) can wear them.

Before I skip them are they any use to someone to try?
