Denon receiver (amplifier + tuner) with "bookshelf" 2-way speakers, remote control and cables. Works well as radio (FM/AM), and as an amplifier for phones and TVs etc. to play through the speakers (a cable to plug into headphone jack of phone is included). You can also get bluetooth line-in adapters from about £5 which allows you to use one of the audio inputs of this receiver to wireless stream audio from your phone if you don't want to or can't use the headphone cable.
CD player doesn't work (read head moves but it doesn't spin the disc - so the CD spindle motor or spindle motor driver is probably faulty I suppose).
