I left a cutting in a bucket unattended over winter and it sprouted in the rain water. The water was deep and from the colour of it probably nutrient rich.
The root ball is massive and it wouldn’t take long before it turned into a proper tree especially if it was actually given some TLC.
I think it’s green willow, the type you can weave with.
I am working in the garden today so will not have my phone on me all afternoon but will check it a few times.
