With 88 keys and 2 pedals, this instrument is perfect for both beginner and experienced pianists alike. The Serial Number is 85659, authenticating its provenance. The piano was crafted in 1966.
Weighing somewhere between 150 to 200kg, it is a substantial piece that will make a statement in any home or music space. It's vintage style is rare to find and this handsome piano will sit perfectly with, for example, the simplicity of retro Danish furniture.
You will need to arrange to collect the piano, possibly using a removal firm that know how to transport pianos. It is currently housed in our dining room, on the ground floor.
The piano was last serviced two years ago. The piano plays very well but, after it is moved, a piano tuner is recommended.
The patina of the piano is indicative of the instrument's age and use. As you would expect, the piano has some small scuff marks, shallow dents and blemishes, consistent with its age.
The front legs are tapered, as per its period. I am unsure which woods are used. The lighter wood veneer appears to be teak, or, perhaps, walnut. The darker wood is reminiscent of ebony. I may be wrong about the woods used, though.
There is also a cushioned piano stool is included, which I commissioned. It has been handmade to match the style of the piano, though the legs are not tapered. The top has a compartment to store music sheets.
