Broken sandwich toaster for hobbyist (Freehold LA1)

Yes, I know, I should have gone into marketing... I foolishly burnt out the elements on my sandwich toaster by putting it on without the removable plates in. I wondered if somebody might want to use the "compress" aspect of it for some as yet unknown project. No plates with it I'm afraid because I use them as spares for the replacement I bought.
