SMEG kettle working but lid sticks (Sonning RG4)

Pretty mint green SMEG Kettle - still boils water really well, but we’ve just replaced as the lid mechanism sticks and have to open more manually - hoping someone would like to give this a new home and try and repair. Another casualty of the very hard water in this area. For collection in Sonning.
