Disney Chess set (unfinished) (Hamden)

This is an experiment from the 1970s (yes, 50 years ago.) I bought a bunch of blue plastic figures of Disney characters with the intention of making them into a chess set, along with a hooked rug chessboard. I started painting the characters with model paint but never finished. The 32 figures come with the rug chessboard and a book, The Art of Walt Disney.
