Only used a few times, has been in our cellar for a while now. I've now got a cordless one which will suit me better. Haven't tried it on grass but plugged it in and switched it on and it seems OK. Haven't got the instructions but they are probably online somewhere. I'm quite strong for my size (5 foot) but found this quite heavy in use, if you have arthritis or don't have strong grip this may not be right for you.
