Historic Dyson with huge problem (Near QCH)

This vacuum is 220V and has a British plug. I have used it occasionally for the last 25 years but it has to go. Before I recycle it, can anyone use it? If you connect it to 110V with an adapter (not included) it works, but it sucks. Just not very well! It might be a historic item one day, because it's a DC-01, probably one of the first Dyson vacuums made.
