Barricade four-port router with built-in ADSL modem and print server – SMC7404BRA – is an all-in-one device designed to help SME and SOHO workers get maximum RoI out of an ADSL broadband connection.
The router combines a printer port, four 10/100 RJ45 ports for connection to a PC or network and an additional RJ11 port that connects to an ADSL line. The integrated ADSL modem provides broadband Internet access to multiple users (of up to 253 users) by sharing a single user account, and removes the need to buy or rent a separate ADSL modem.
A built-in print server also allows multiple users to share a single printer. SMC7404BRA features a firewall with packet inspection, thus giving users a peace-of-mind over security issues. A graphical user interface is supplied for installation, configuration and management, and email alerts are supplied with the wireless version to alert the user of attempts to hack into the network.
