I don't know if this will be off any use to anyone, the hoover works fine it just needs a new battery and charger, I have purchased a new hoover with a power cable as I always forgot to charge the battery.

If you go to vax.com web site you will be able to purchase a battery with charger together. The battery is a VAX ONEPWRTM 4.0Ah Battery and 1.5A Charger Kit
