I have 3 CD's and 9 tapes from the Open University course DA301 Studying Family & Community History. Before I consign to the tip would anyone be interested in them?
The CD's are Project Reports in Family & Community History from Students in the years 1994 through to 2000. The CD's don't run on Win 11 PC's if you look at the instructions in the cases (shows how much computers have changed in the time!!) HOWEVER, on the earlier CD's the files are all stored as .tif pictures and on the later as .pdf's so can still be read individually as files through Windows explorer.
Tape Subjects are:
>Oral History Interviews/Class & community
>Census returns / Nominal Lists
>Local Directories / Local Newspapers
>The PC as research tool / Maps
>Presenting your findings through audio-vision / Pictorial representations
>History of the family / Migrants story
>Parish registers/ reviewing the family
>Religious records as sources / School boards
>Local Newspapers / Local Directories
They may sometimes refer to some pictures in books which have already been gifted elsewhere on here but are interesting as general study in their own right
