It’s a 2021 Lay Z Spa Maldives hydrojet 3pin plug (plug and play) 2m x 2m hot tub with inbuilt inflatable loungers. It comes with the original pump and heater unit which is in good working order, albeit the plastic on the screen is starting to get brittle and come off.

This is the model with the hydrojets that provide a massaging jet to your back in addition to the bubbles!

I’ve also got two cup holders and head rest that can go with it.

In addition, it has an after market ‘jacket’ which goes round the outside to add insulation and increase its energy efficiency.

Now the downside:

Apart from the cosmetic issue of the brittle screen cover which doesn’t affect its use, it’s got a slight air leak. I believe it is in the air-in valve used to pump it up. It’s a replaceable item and can be bought online.

If it’s not that then it may be a small puncture, but I don’t think so as it never completely goes down. If it is, it can be mended with a lay-z-spa adhesive patch available online.

On the plus side, when full, even when if it does lose air pressure, it holds up and keeps working as the water keeps it up!

I have been keeping the air topped up once a week with a camping awning pump which has been manageable.

So..if you want a hot tub for free that can go into the back of an estate car and you are a bit handy with repairs (or don’t mind adding some air to it once a week), this is your moment!
