NOTE this is not A4 paper!!!
I assume this is the old foolscap size - 203mm x 330mm - maybe 200 sheets or so. It probably dates from the 1960s or 70s and has gone a bit yellow with age. I've included some A4 paper in the photo for a comparison of size and colour. Could be used for sketching or other projects.
