Cat carrier missing front grille (Royal Standard SE7)

Wondering if this might be a useful shelter for a stray cat? Or maybe it can be fixed, I just can't find the metal grille that would have closed the carrier.
Suitable for small to medium sized cats. If requesting please advise when you can collect
