black and white printer (Dukinfield SK16)

hi , has anybody near to dukinfield got a printer thats just a printer ( not scanner ) and just black and white.
my printer refuses to print black because it says the colour cartidge is empty.
ive tried all settings , even plugged it into a linux computer.
i cant find a small printer in the shops that just does B+W. they seem to be massive office printer FAX machines. thanks andy
