I was given a couple of laptops by a client to dispose of. This one is a Dell Inspiron 9400 dating back to about 2006. Although it's very old, I was able to install ChromeOSFlex on it (basically turning it into a Chromebook) and it works fairly well.
It has a 17 inch (1920x1200 pixels) screen and the audio is excellent. This is clearly not going to be a machine to carry to school or anything like that, but if you want a relatively compact computer just for email, watching YouTube or doing some web browsing, it would be quite a good choice - especially if you would appreciate a big screen!

The basic specs are as follows:
Dell Inspiron 9400 (approx 2006)
CPU: Intel Core2 T7200 @ 2.00GHz
RAM: 2GB (the maximum for this model)
HDD: 120GB
Video card: Geforce 7800 or 7900GS
Display 17", 1920x1200
