Harvey water softener (Lower Shiplake RG9)

Harvey water softener that has been replaced in last few weeks by latest model because it was producing water that was only half softened. One of its 2 columns seems to have stopped regenerating. This defect happened before so I believe it is readily fixed but I did not want the delay of waiting for repair before restoring soft water supply to the house.
