5 years old. Always used a mattress protector. Lots of life left in the mattress! The base has 4 draws and is in 2 halves slots in together. 1 corner of the base feels and seems like a bit of wood either broke a little or moved so if you sit on it there you can tell but otherwise can sleep on it fine. Optional headboard the wood broke off. Maybe fix it up with new wood or prop on the base against a wall like I did. Just a shame to throw it out as it its still comfortable 😌 and could be nice for someone if you dont mind the defects. Can put a nice topper over it! 😀

If its not picked up fast will have to dump it sadly as its taking up the whole room!
