Schwinn exercise bike with issue (Sunnyvale)

This exercise bike is in very good condition, but it has an issue. The resistance doesn’t work properly. You can use it as is, with little resistance, like my husband used it, or you can fix it. There are instructions on YouTube, but my husband didn’t want to bother.
