Building a heritage railway “halt” (Lightwater)

I’m developing a “halt” station (pictured) on a heritage railway, which is a registered charity run by volunteers. Halts are the sort of place where only certain types of train would dare to stop!

The intention is to crowd-fund the development. The kind people on Trash Nothing have already contributed greatly to it.

The signboard is there. The place has a name. Someone has contributed a wide-and-thin Butler Sink, which is now stuffed with daffodil bulbs ready for the spring.

I have been promised a bench seat to replace the plastic chairs.

I have a small rail vehicle standing by to provide a waiting-room-cum-shelter when mounted on a stub of track, which will be added to the development. It’s in the wrong colours. Does anyone have a can of Buckingham Green gloss paint for the lower body side to contribute to the cause, please? I’ve used up what cream paint I have been given for the upper inner body side, so does anyone have a can of cream coloured gloss paint for the upper body side, please?

I’m building a low-height platform edge using displaced, life-expired sleepers; these can be slippery so a piece of chicken wire mesh stapled to the upper surface would change that. Does anyone have unwanted scraps of chicken wire, please?

Happy to share photos as work progresses, by the way of updates.
