Fence post off cuts (Caversham Park RG4)

I need to hammer in a couple of fence repair spikes, and I think it would be easier to do with a section of fence post in it - 2 or 3 feet long would be ideal. I have a 3” (70mm) spike and a 4” (100mm) spike to do.
