Anschler shock absorber for VW Passat 2003 (Cofton Hackett B45)

This shock absorber was bought to be fitted to my '03 VW Passat 1.9 TDi estate but the mechanic didn't use it in the end. It's been sat in its box for a couple of years, and the car has now gone to the big Autobahn in the sky.
The part is unused, unfitted. It's only come out of the box to be photographed. I can't vouch for whether it works OK or even if it's the right one for this car. Hopefully someone may find it useful.
