Solar lights for shed - new not working! (Bromley Common BR2)

I bought one, it would not work, got sent a second, same issue. So they’re pretty brand new. They seem to charge up as they flash on and off when tested but won’t come on as expected. I suspect it’s me. There’s only one remote as I sent one back in the hope of getting this resolved but I have given up now. Before I bin them I thought someone more clever than me could see if they could persuade them to work. Collection Bromley Common.
