I have an older-style Western Digital external hard drive with cords for connection to power and to a USB port on your computer.Ā I acquired it from a kind soul on freecycle and it seems to work fine.Ā However, when connected to a computer, it makes a soft humming sound -- that's not a problem for me, but my better half has her computer in the same room and she is very susceptible to low-level noise like this.Ā So, it has to go!!
Supposedly 500GB capacity, but the available space is shown as 465GB.
