Delonghi Dehumidifier with Issues (Tinshill LS16)

The Delonghi Dec21 has two functions Dehumidifier and Fan heater.
This unit has an intermittent fault with the control function for the dehumidifier which cuts out. It has been proven that compressor itself works fine when supplied with power directly.
This fault may be a fixable or maybe a work around to defeat the control circuit could be used by someone with knowhow.
The fan heater program works fine.
When working the dehumidifier is specified to clear up to 21 litres of moisture from the atmosphere in 24 hours.
